What is the atmosphere like at the Lewis Aquatic Center?

The Lewis Aquatic Center embraces the “six domains of wellness” which are:

  • Emotional
  • Intellectual
  • Physical
  • Social
  • Spiritual
  • Vocational

This fosters an environment of encouragement, nurturing and support. And there is an added benefit. Clients become friends who look out for each other. Support systems are built. Socialization becomes part of each visit. You will also find that the Lewis Aquatic Center is not a “spandex environment”. Achieving optimal health is the most important thing, not how one looks.

Will I see the same therapist each time?

We cannot promise that you will see the same therapist each time. We can promise that each visit is one-on-one with the therapist and client. It is important for you to know that all of our aquatic physical therapists are:

  • Licensed (no aides are used)
  • Specially trained for aquatic physical therapy
  • Up to date on new trends in physical therapy
  • Well-versed in excellent guest relations from required classes every other week

How is my privacy assured?

  • We are very respectful of not sharing information about your medical situation with anyone other than approved medical providers.
  • The locker rooms have individual curtained showers
  • We have a unisex changing room with a shower and commode if you require assistance before or after your therapy session.
