Choosing the Peter B. Lewis Center for physical therapy after my recent back surgery was one of my better decisions. The physical therapy staff has helped me to get started toward normal life once again. I still have a way to go but I know I have been greatly helped by their advice and caring.
From what I have personally seen and heard, your gift has helped many people toward a better life in spite of their health limitations. I would like to extend my personal thank you for your generosity.

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and my rheumatologist wrote a prescription for water therapy. I went faithfully 3 times a week for 1 year at another facility and there was not much improvement. I asked my physician if I could come here. I have been here for almost 3 months and I cannot believe the improvement in my condition. The facility is immaculate. The therapists are friendly and encouraging. If it were not for this facility, I would not have been able to progress as I have.
Gratefully yours,

It is a special gift to me to have the opportunity to do my physical therapy in warm water as my physician ordered. After 14 years of water exercises, I no longer was able to participate because of advancing Raynaud’s Phenomenon and this past year with very painful arthritis especially in my knees, a fracture and incredible pain in my spine plus arthritis everywhere. It is with unending gratitude that I am thanking you for your generous gift allowing me to work out in 92° water and providing knowledgeable therapists, patient and kind. My heartfelt thanks.

I’ve been at the Aquatic Center since October, 2001. I started with aquatic therapy because of lower back pain. My physician approved my working out alone in the pool and the Fitness and Wellness Center after I was done with water therapy.
The most important factor in working out regularly and consistently is the “good feeling” one acquires. In the winter I’m generally in five days weekly, in the golf season I’m in twice weekly. In addition to the good physical feeling, one sleeps better, eats better, can stand pain at a much higher level and perhaps, most importantly, working out on a consistent basis cleanses one’s mind.
It’s a lot cheaper to come to the Aquatic Center rather than going to a psychiatrist.
